Description

Dextran plasma expander with apparent volume expanding and antiplatelet action.

The product is administered in cases of capillary blood flow disorders, prevention and treatment of traumatic, surgical and burn shocks; for arterial and venous circulation disorders; for treatment and prevention of thrombosis and thrombophlebitis, endarteritis; during heart surgery carried out using heart-lung machine (added to the perfusion fluid); in vascular and plastic surgery for improvement of local circulation; for detoxification after burns, peritonitis, pancreatitis, etc.

Rheopolyglucin is prescribed for treatment of the retina and optic nerve deceases (complicated myopia, macular degeneration, etc.), inflammatory processes in cornea and choroid using its ability to reduce blood viscosity and restore blood flow to the small capillaries.
